When a business outgrows its website's capabilities
“We already have a website—why do we need to build a new one?”
That’s a perfectly logical question. However, a website is not a finished product that remains unchanged forever.
As a business grows, its products and services expand, customer habits change, and new marketing opportunities arise. At some point, a website that has successfully fulfilled its role up to that point may begin to limit the next stage of growth.
In that case, updating it is not an unnecessary expense, but a natural investment in the business’s development.
Our work with Aristo Jewellery demonstrates how a strategically planned website redesign can create greater potential for SEO growth. The project also included managing the adjustment period following the launch of the new site, while Google indexed and evaluated the revised structure.
Key Findings
When comparing the data from Google Search Console for June 2026 for the new website with the results for June 2025 for the previous version, we found that:
- 86% more clicks from Google’s organic search results;
- 46% more search queries for which the site appears;
- 103% more search queries for which the site ranks in the top 10.
The data is based on a comparison between June 2026 on the new website and June 2025 on the previous website.
About Aristo Jewellery
Aristo Jewellery is an established jewelry brand with over 29 years of history, its own goldsmith’s workshop, and a physical store in Varna.
The company offers jewelry, engagement rings, and wedding bands, as well as services such as custom design, repairs, engraving, and gold buying.
Zahara Consult has been working on Aristo Jewellery’s SEO development since 2024. Following the merger with Linkbox under the Linkbox Group umbrella in September 2025, Zahara Consult continued to be responsible for analysis and strategic direction, while Linkbox took on the technical implementation and development of the new website.
The Challenge
At the beginning of our collaboration, we developed Aristo Jewellery’s existing website. Gradually, it began to reach more users and rank for searches that were important to the business.
Over time, however, the platform itself began to limit the possibilities for further SEO and marketing development.
Adding and editing content wasn’t flexible enough. Developing new product categories, services, and landing pages became more difficult, and some marketing ideas couldn’t be fully realized.
This is a natural stage for many online businesses.
A website is usually created to meet the company’s specific needs at a given moment. A few years later, the business may offer more products and services, use new marketing channels, and have entirely different goals.
At that point, the question isn’t whether the old website is “good” or “bad.” The question is whether it continues to support the business’s growth.
At Aristo Jewellery, we had reached the practical limit of what could be achieved effectively with the previous structure. Sustained growth going forward required a change.
Strategic Approach and Implementation
The goal was to create a platform that facilitates the development of:
- product categories;
the jewelry workshop’s services; - useful content;
local presence; - future marketing campaigns.
Establishing a new structure has allowed us to view every key aspect of the business as a separate path through which a potential customer can discover Aristo Jewellery.
This is the key difference between a website that simply showcases a company and one that serves as an active marketing tool.
On February 3, 2026, the new website went live.
Why has there been a decline since the launch of the new website?
The graph clearly shows a decline immediately after the launch of the new website.
This decline is an expected part of the transition to a website with a different structure.
Google is familiar with the previous version through its pages, URLs, content, and the links between them. Over time, the search engine has built a sort of site map and accumulated information on which search queries each page should appear for.
When the site structure changes, Google needs to update this sitemap. The new pages must be discovered, the content re-evaluated, and the accumulated signals linked to the new version.
This does not happen simultaneously across the entire site.
Some pages are processed more quickly, while others take longer. That’s why temporary changes in rankings and traffic may be observed at first.
Such a decline does not automatically mean that the new website is weaker or that a problem occurred during its development.
SEO has a certain amount of momentum, but that doesn’t mean you have to wait indefinitely. As early as the first few weeks, you can track the indexing, rankings, and search queries for which the new website begins to appear.
Our job during this period was to monitor the process, identify opportunities for improvement, and help the new pages gain visibility.
From Recovery to Higher Growth Potential
The graph shows the entire sequence:
- a period of relatively stable results on the previous site;
- the launch of the new site;
- a temporary decline;
- a gradual recovery;
and subsequent growth.
By the end of the period, the website was already outperforming the typical results of the previous version. A comparison between June 2025 and June 2026 confirms this trend.
The new website did not simply restore the visibility that was temporarily lost during the transition. It broke through the practical “ceiling” we had reached and created the conditions for a broader organic presence.
SEO Development for the New Website
After launching the new website, we were finally able to move forward with initiatives that the previous platform had made difficult:
- optimizing product categories;
- presenting the jewelry
- workshop’s services more clearly;
- building an information layer.
The result is significantly more entry points to the business.
In June 2026, the website appeared in 46% more different search queries compared to the same month the previous year.
Even more importantly, the number of searches ranking in the top 10 increased by 103%.
This means that Aristo Jewellery isn’t just appearing in more search topics—it’s also appearing more frequently among the top results on Google.
Results
A comparison between June 2025 and June 2026 shows that the new website has moved past the adjustment period and has outperformed the typical results of the previous version.
Organic clicks have increased by 86%, meaning that more users are finding the business through unpaid results on Google.
The website now appears in 46% more different search queries. This expands Aristo Jewellery’s organic presence and creates more opportunities for potential customers to discover its products, services, and helpful content.
The number of searches where the site ranks in the top 10 has increased by 103%. Aristo Jewellery isn’t just appearing for more search topics—it’s also appearing more frequently among the top results.
Conclusion
The previous website had served its purpose at a certain stage in Aristo Jewellery’s development. The new website laid a better foundation for the next phase.
Sometimes, optimizing an existing website is the right decision. In other cases, the business has outgrown its capabilities and needs a new digital foundation.
It’s important for this decision to be made strategically—based on business goals, customer behavior, and future marketing opportunities.
